Cine Lens Sony E Line-Up

Sigma's new Cine Lens Sony E line-up is designed to impress, with their highest level of optical performance yet, in a compact production quality design. The 14mm lens covers a full frame image sensor and gives you a wide angle of view, perfect for immersive and sweeping panoramic shots. With a T2 light transmission rating, you'll get excellent performance in a range of lighting conditions, as well as a gentle falloff. The rotation angle of the geared control rings is more than double that of still camera lenses, giving you extremely precise focus fine-tuning for critical shots. With its all-metal dust and splash-proof body, you can feel the premium quality, and it's made to handle the rigours of daily life on-set.

14mm Wide Angle Prime Cinema Lens

The Sigma 14mm T2 FF prime is the widest lens in the Sigma cinema series line-up. It offers full frame sensor coverage and a wide angle of view that’s perfect for capturing large sweeping, immersive scenes with astonishing detail and clarity.

Bright T2 Light Transmission Rating

A bright T2 light transmission rating ensures the lens performs exceptionally well in a range of different lighting types and scenarios, both indoors and out. It also allows you to be more flexible with lighting options, working well for lowlight and changing conditions.

Resolve 8K Images

Well known for their superb image quality, Sigma’s ultra-high-performance optical system is also present in their cinema lenses, able to resolve incredibly detailed and sharp 8K imagery. Advanced computer-based ray tracing has been used during the design process from start to finish. This effectively minimises flare and ghosting while enhancing contrast in backlit conditions.

Professional Geared Controls

The standardised position of the geared focus and iris control rings mean you don’t have to adjust the follow focus or other accessories even after a lens change. The focus ring has a 180° rotational angle which is more than double that of still camera lenses. This provides sensitive and incredibly high-precision focusing. The click-less iris ring offers soundless full manual control and contributes to highly accurate exposures throughout your scene.

Standardised Colour Balance

Sigma’s entire line-up of cinema lenses are made to comply with their own CCI standard. This helps ensure consistent performance with identical colour balance no matter which Sigma lens is used in your production. It makes colour correction quick and easy to replicate from one scene to the next.

All-Metal Production Quality Build

Compared to many cinema lenses, the Sigma 14mm T2 lens Sony E is compact and lightweight, perfect for an active life on-set. The all-metal body features laser engraved information for excellent longevity. The construction is extremely robust, with each ring mount sealed against dust and moisture to ensure the lens is ready for even the toughest conditions, both in studio and on location.
