FAQs – Digital Camera Warehouse
Find answers to common questions about buying cameras and lenses online, shipping Australia-wide, returns, warranty, and support from Digital Camera Warehouse (DCW).
Buying from Digital Camera Warehouse
How can I contact you or buy from you?
Digital Camera Warehouse has one store in Canterbury (Sydney) and an Australia-based support team available during our trading hours. Call us on 1300 365 220 or shop online 24/7. Pricing is consistent across our store, phone orders, and online.
Why didn’t I receive an order confirmation email?
If you didn’t receive an order confirmation, please check your Junk/Spam folder. Some email providers may filter automated emails. If it’s still missing, contact us and we’ll help confirm your order details.
Do you price match?
We aim to provide competitive and consistent pricing across all channels. In many cases, we can assess a price match when you provide a valid, comparable offer from an authorised Australian retailer with a physical store and the item currently in stock.
Exclusions and special conditions may apply, and there may be situations where a price match cannot be offered. Our goal is to remain fair, transparent, and consistent for all customers.
If you’d like us to review a price, our team can assess it and help you choose the right product for your needs.
Are there extra charges for using a credit card?
There is no charge when using MasterCard or Visa. American Express incurs a 2% surcharge.
Shipping and Handling (Australia-wide)
Do you ship my order?
Yes. We ship anywhere in Australia. Generally, we dispatch orders using Australia Post or StarTrack.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is a one-off flat rate of $9.95 per order. The exception is for items that are particularly bulky (e.g., large backpacks, wheeled bags, tripods) or particularly heavy (e.g., printers, scanners). If additional shipping charges apply, we will contact you before dispatch to discuss options.
Is my order insured in transit?
Yes. Your order is insured for damage or non-delivery (lost in transit).
Tourist Refund Scheme (TRS) / Duty Free
Can I buy duty free cameras from you?
Yes. Under the Tourist Refund Scheme (TRS), travellers may be able to claim a refund (subject to conditions) on the Goods and Services Tax (GST) for eligible goods purchased in Australia.
What do I need to claim a TRS refund?
If you’re travelling overseas, you can purchase in-store or order online and we will provide the required tax invoice. A TRS refund cannot be processed without a valid tax invoice.

Privacy
How do you handle my personal information?
We take your privacy seriously. We only share details where required to process your order (e.g., payment providers) and to deliver your parcel (e.g., couriers). See our Privacy Policy.
Returns
Faulty products (Australian Consumer Law)
At Digital Camera Warehouse (DCW), we hope you never experience a faulty product, however we understand it can happen. We work within Australian Consumer Law guidelines to reach the best outcome for you.
If a product purchased from us has a fault, you can return it to our Canterbury store (Photo ID required), or contact us for advice and next steps:
- Call us on 1300 365 220 to discuss the issue and obtain a Return Authority (RA) number.
- Email us at info@digitalcamerawarehouse.com.au to outline the issue and request an RA number. Without an RA number, the item may be refused.
- Return faulty items with original accessories and components so we can process the matter with the Australian supplier/distributor where applicable.
If a refund is applicable, a credit to the card or account originally used to pay for the goods will be processed by DCW within 7 days of the matter being resolved.
Incorrect choice / change of mind
We understand that an “incorrect choice” can happen, especially when buying a gift.
We may be able to offer an exchange or in-store credit for incorrectly ordered or purchased accessories (excluding special order items), provided the item is in saleable condition (e.g., no signs of physical damage and in original packaging).
To arrange a return, please contact us on 1300 365 220 or email info@digitalcamerawarehouse.com.au. If you’re unable to visit our store, we can discuss returning the item via registered post.
Need help with a return?
If you need to return a product for any reason, please contact our team on 1300 365 220 or email us at info@digitalcamerawarehouse.com.au.
Warranty and Coverage
Is my camera covered by an Australian warranty?
Yes. Our cameras are supplied with an Australian warranty provided by the official Australian distributor (back-to-base). This means warranty repairs are handled in Australia through the official distributor. Australian manufacturer warranties may also entitle you to supplier promotions such as cashbacks, bonuses, and redemptions (where offered).
Can I get extra protection through DCW?
Yes. We offer additional protection options for eligible purchases. Contact us on 1300 365 220 to discuss what’s available, or view our coverage options here: DCW Total Care Packages.
Are your cameras “grey market”?
Digital Camera Warehouse has not, does not, and will not sell “grey market” cameras.
