Designed for full frame Sony E-Mount cameras, it has a bright f2.8 aperture gives you great flexibility with depth of field, allowing you to create images with soft backgrounds and sharp subjects, perfect for bringing attention to where it’s needed. It has optical image stabilisation, keeping your shots steady and sharp. Fast, reliable autofocus lets you concentrate on framing, all the while knowing your image will be in focus.

Bright f2.8 Aperture

The Carl Zeiss Batis 135mm f2.8 is a medium telephoto prime lens with a focal length that’s perfect for capturing beautifully sharp, intimate portraits. A bright f2.8 maximum aperture offers excellent depth of field control. This is also extremely beneficial when working outdoors as the lighting conditions can change so quickly.

Smooth, Quiet Autofocus

The lens features an advanced autofocusing system, moving each element with incredible precision. The Batis lens offers smooth, reliable autofocus that allows you to concentrate on composing the perfect shot, knowing with confidence, it will be sharp and in focus.

Optical Image Stabilisation

Another excellent feature is the lens’s built-in optical image stabilisation which allows you to shoot sharp and steady images, even handheld. When paired with a camera that has its own in-body image stabilisation, you gain access to the benefits of both systems. This unlocks a world of creative possibilities, allowing you to leave the tripod at home or just get better images in lowlight.

OLED Display

Something that’s immediately noticeable on the lens barrel is a unique OLED screen. It displays focus distance and depth of field in bright, clear measurements. This is also especially beneficial when working in lowlight.

Advanced Optical Design

The lens has 14 elements arranged in 11 groups using Zeiss’s highly advanced Floating Element optical design. The carefully measured and adjusted distance between each element ensures optimal performance, sharpness, and clarity, with almost no distortion.

Advanced Anti-Reflective Coatings

To enhance optical performance even further, each element has a proprietary Zeiss T* anti-reflective coating applied. This helps cut out reflections caused by stray light hitting the lens from an angle. This helps give you images with better contrast and clarity, perfect for high-resolution cameras.

Premium Weather Resistant Construction

The Zeiss Batis 135mm f/2.8 E-Mount lens is made with a robust all-metal housing, offering superior durability and feel. Carefully weather sealed, the lens is not only able to stand up to the elements, it also perfectly complements weather sealed cameras, forming a reliable system that can perform in rain, snow, dust, and more.
