Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8 L IS USM Lens

This hyper-versatile workhorse zoom lens from Canon's L-series line-up is almost guaranteed to stay mounted on your full frame mirrorless camera. It features a 5-stop image stabilisation system, a fast f/2.8 constant aperture and the same excellent build quality we have come to expect from Canon.

The Most Used Zoom Range Ever

24-70mm is the most popular focal range for a reason. It allows you to capture landscapes, group portraits and then zoom in for tighter framing that is ideal for individual portraits, fashion shoots or to capture fine details.

9-Bladed f/2.8 Constant Aperture

Perfectly matched with the zoom range is the bright and fast f/2.8 aperture which allows you to create images with a shallow depth of field, while at the same time ensuring that the camera collects as much light as possible for low-light shooting. The aperture is constant throughout the entire zoom range so that brightness is not affected when you adjust your framing.

5 Stops of Image Stabilisation

Ideal for hand-held shooting the 24-70mm RF lens has an impressive 5-stops of image stabilisation that allows you to capture ultra-sharp images, allowing you to experiment with longer shutter speeds that is perfect for low-light photography.

Nano USM Autofocus Motor

The autofocus motor utilised in the RF 24-70mm f/2.8 is an ultra-fast and virtually silent Nano USM (ultra-sonic motor) system. This ensures that the autofocus performance of the lens is top notch delivering the reliable results that professional demand.

Premium L-Series Image Quality

Canon are world-renown for the attention they devote to designing their L-series lenses and their reputation is well earned. L-series lenses, with their signature red ring, create images and video with an incredibly high level of detail and sharpness. They’re build to be robust and feature a fluorine protective coating on the front element as well as being dust and water resistant for shooting in all conditions.

21 Optical Elements in 15 Groups

The lens boasts an incredible resolving power, thanks to a sophisticated optical construction that uses aspherical and special low dispersion glass. It uses 21 elements arranged in 15 groups as well as an SSC (super spectra coating) that reduces ghosting and flaring for ultra-high contrast results in backlight conditions.

Premium Build Quality

The Canon R-Series 24-70mm F/2.8 L IS USM Lens well-built and robust with a well-thought-out design. It has individual switches to change the focus mode and turn the image stabilisation on and off, as well as a customisable control ring at the end of the lens. The zoom ring has a soft ridge so it can be easily identified and the kerning on the control ring is cross thatched for easy grip, delivering an intuitive and tactile shooting experience.
