5-Axis In-Body Image Stabilisation

Shoot handheld with greater confidence thanks to built-in 5-axis image stabilisation. The EOS R8 Mark II offers up to 7.5 stops of stabilisation at the centre of the frame and works with compatible RF lenses for coordinated IS control, helping deliver sharper stills and smoother video without always reaching for a tripod.

Capture Action at Up to 40 fps

When the action moves quickly, the EOS R8 Mark II is ready. High-speed continuous shooting reaches up to 40 frames per second using the electronic shutter, making it ideal for wildlife, sport, events and other fast-moving subjects. Pre-continuous shooting can also capture up to 20 frames before the shutter button is fully pressed, helping you catch moments that might otherwise be missed.

Intelligent Subject Detection & Tracking

Advanced autofocus technology helps keep your subject sharp throughout the frame. The EOS R8 Mark II can recognise and track people, animals and vehicles, including dogs, cats, birds, horses, motorsport vehicles, motorcycles, aircraft and trains. Eye detection and whole-area tracking make it easier to concentrate on composition while the camera takes care of focus.

Register People Priority

Photographing events or busy scenes? Register People Priority lets you register and prioritise up to 10 people in-camera, helping autofocus stay focused on the people who matter even when shooting amongst a crowd.

Uncropped 4K 60p Video

The EOS R8 Mark II is equally capable when it comes to video, recording detailed 4K footage at up to 60p without a crop. 4K UHD Fine recording uses 6K-to-4K oversampling for excellent detail, while XF-HEVC S and XF-AVC S recording options provide flexibility for both efficient and professional editing workflows.

Canon Log 3 & In-Camera LUT Support

For filmmakers who want greater control in post-production, Canon Log 3 helps preserve highlight and shadow detail for flexible colour grading. Custom LUT support allows you to preview your chosen creative look while shooting or apply the LUT directly to your footage for a more finished result straight out of camera.

Create dynamic footage directly in-camera with Slow & Fast Motion recording. Vari-Angle Touchscreen & Electronic Viewfinder

Compose comfortably from a wide range of angles using the 3.0-inch vari-angle touchscreen with approximately 1.62 million dots. For traditional eye-level shooting, the 2.36-million-dot electronic viewfinder provides 100% coverage and a refresh rate of up to approximately 119.88 fps.
