The Olympus 8-25mm F4.0 PRO Lens features 16 lenses in 10 groups including Super ED, ED, and EDA lenses which eliminates chromatic aberrations and delivers edged to edge sharpness across the entire zoom range. Besides, Sagittal comatic aberration is also reduced significantly by incorporating a large DSA lens.

Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical coating

The Olympus 8-25mm F4.0 PRO Lens employs a Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical coating which eliminates ghosts and flaring during backlit shooting. Also, the front-most lens has a fluorine coating allowing the user to quickly clean the lens with a blower or cloth.

Designed for a superior hold with retracting mechanism

This is the first model in the M.Zuiko PRO series to feature a retracting mechanism. Smooth photography is possible thanks to this innovative system, which allows the lens to be retracted by merely turning the zoom ring. Also, using the zoom ring on the front of the lens provides more space between the lens and grip, allowing for comfortable operations.

The M.Zuiko PRO series provides unrivalled dustproof, splashproof, and freezeproof performance. This model has an IPX1 equivalent dustproof and splashproof rating and is freezeproof to -10°C. When combined with a dustproof, splashproof, and freezeproof camera body, you can shoot in punishing environments like rain and snow with confidence.

Superb operability and close-up shooting performance

With a minimum focusing distance of 23cm and 0.42x magnification across the entire zoom range, you can easily capture artistic close-up shots with varying subject size and perspective. Despite being an ultra-wide-angle lens, you are able to attach f72mm filters to the end of the lens. This allows you to protect the lens from scratches and enjoy a wide range of photographic expression by using PL or ND filters.

L-Fn button and MF clutch

The Manual Focus Clutch mechanism on this model allows you to instantly switch to manual focus by pulling the focusing ring towards you. The L-Fn (lens function) button is located where it is easy to reach with the left thumb for simple controls while holding the lens. Depending on your camera, you are able to assign it to various functions.
