This new Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Summilux 25-50mm / F1.7 ASPH is created to complement the current Leica DG Vario-Summilux 10-25mm F1.7 ASPH Lens. These two lenses cover a focal distance from wide-angle to telephoto and are the equivalent of eight prime lenses when used together. It boasts a large F1.7 aperture throughout the entire 50-100mm zoom range with exceptionally high optical performance clearing the stringent LEICA standards. With gorgeous bokeh and a common aperture, great descriptive performance, shape, and operability, it provides incredible adaptability in a videographer's gear.

Remarkable Optical Design

The lens system employs 16 elements in 11 groups, with an aspherical lens and three ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lenses that suppress axial and magnification chromatic aberration as well as spherical aberration and distortion.
