Incredible Image Quality

Boasting a 24.2 megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor with Dual Native technology, you can capture extremely clean and crisp images. The sensor can leverage a dual-base ISO setting that results in minimised noise and a higher image quality, as well as providing a variety of creative options.

5-Axis Dual I.S 2

Whatever environment you are shooting in, you can continue shooting stable footage thanks to the 5-axis Dual I.S 2. A high-precision gyrosensor accompanies the Dual I.S system that is comprised of 5-axis in-body image stabilisation and 2-axis optical stabilisation in selected lenses to provide precise shake reduction and compensation. This offers the ability to se up to 6.5 stops slower speed in photos and videos.

Advanced Autofocus

The S5 features an impressive high-speed autofocus system that works by incorporating all the major elements - the lens, sensor and imaging engine. The lens and sensor communicate at a maximum 480fps to deliver superior performance. On top of this, the higher sensitivity and optimised tuning of the sensor provide a wider and more precise low-light shooting ability. With the ability to detect humans, individual faces and fast-moving animals, as well as autofocus tracking when the subject is on the move, you can continually shoot crystal clear photos and videos.

Superior Video Capabilities

Boasting 4K60p/50p 4:2:2 10-bit output and 4K30p/25p 4:2:0 8-bit internal recording, the camera can effortlessly film amazing quality video footage. It features V-Log/V-Gamut that houses an array of 14+ stops to capture scenes in the brightest and darkest environments.

Rugged Design

To keep up with the bustling life of photographers and videographers, the S5 flaunts a magnesium alloy full die-cast body and a splash/dust resistant design. Additionally, it is comprises an optimum layout of heat dispersion components, meaning heat is effectively transferred externally, maximising video recording time capabilities.
