1/2.3-inch 4K CMOS Image Sensor

To capture the resolution required for 4K 30p video, the camera uses a 1/2.3-inch CMOS which works with the DIGIC DV 6 image processor to create a better-looking image. 4K sensor data is processed using an oversampling HD processing function to produce high-definition results that are sharper than regular Full HD footage. There’s even a built-in infrared mode allows the capture of images even in extremely dark lighting.
