At the heart of the Canon EOS R3 lies a brand-new 24.1MP back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor, working in concert with the Canon world-class DIGIC X image processor. Together, they deliver the fast readout and processing required for RAW files to be captured at 30fps, with full AF/AE tracking¹.

Mastering movement

Taking object-tracking capabilities to new heights, the Canon EOS R3 includes the people and animal AF tracking modes (including birds) found in the EOS R5, as well as car and motorcycle tracking - ideal for motorsports shooters.

Super stable shooting

Image Stabilizer (IS) technology provides up to 8-stops of camera shake reduction. The camera's In-Body IS works in conjunction with the Optical IS built into many RF lenses, allowing you to shoot handheld in low light or at slower shutter speeds.

Made for movies

The EOS R3 internally records oversampled 4K or RAW video footage to a CFexpress card with Canon Log for increased dynamic range and colour grading options. Importantly, videographers have access to the same object recognition that still photographers have.
