On-board encoding and decoding automatically converts raw Ambisonics A audio to VR-ready Ambisonics B format for easy pairing with 360-degree video. This eliminates the need for external processing on a computer. Using the free to download Zoom Ambisonics Player software, you can play, trim, re-orient, or export Ambisonic recordings as stereo, binaural, or 5.1 audio files, directly from the recorder to a computer, drastically minimising post-production.Three Recording Modes

The recorder can operate in standalone style - recording to its SD card slot while being powered by 2 AA NiMH/Lithium batteries or portable USB power bank. A built-in slate tone lets you easily calibrate the recorder and camera audio levels while the sound marker function plays a tone when recording starts for easier audio to syncing.
