The 82mm UV-Haze #010 MRC Basic Filter from B+W reduces ultraviolet light transmission, eliminating the bluish cast from atmospheric haze when shooting outdoors. It also adds a clear layer of protection for the front element of a lens with a special coating that repels dirt, and water and protects against scratches and abrasions. Crafted from precision German optical glass, each side features 7 layers of Broadband coating for high-contrast images with minimal residual reflection and a uniform light transmission level of 99.5%.

The brass filter ring features an enhanced knurling pattern for improved grip and a special functional coating for smooth mounting and dismounting. The ring features front threads, and its low-profile design makes it suitable for use with wide-angle lenses.
