By using a floating system lens design, Tamron was able to optimise image quality by internally shifting elements to enable excellent image quality even when focusing at the ultra-close focus range of 29cm.

Superior Optical Design

Moulded glass aspherical elements help control field curvature across the lens plane and provide superb focusing uniformity with well corrected spherical and comatic aberrations. Using low dispersion (LD) glass further reduces unwanted aberrations and highlight fringing, giving excellent performance through the aperture range.

Coated Lens Elements

Ghosting and flare is reduced thanks to the special nano-structured eBAND (Extended Bandwidth and Angular-Dependency) and BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) coatings applied to the lens surfaces.

Integrated Image Stabilisation
