The lens achieves pinpoint focus even at the remarkably shallow F1.2 aperture thanks to four XD (extreme dynamic) Linear Motors. The XD linear motors' high thrust efficiency ensures accurate, consistent autofocus for both stills or video recording. Advanced algorithms optimise the drive motors to improve control response and precision while reducing vibration and noise for fast and silent AF efficiency. Besides, the focus ring rotation translates directly to a Linear Response MF, delivering immediate and precise focusing.
