The Atomos Shinobi is a super slim, compact 5.2-inch external monitor so you can check the framing, focus and exposure of a shot from virtually any angle. It is the perfect addition to any film maker or vlogger’s kit. It has a 4K input and is super useful when shooting with log profiles because of loadable LUTs support. Weighing less than 200g, the Shinobi is ideal for content creators on-the-go with a new mirror mode created specifically for vloggers.

Large 5.2-inch Touchscreen

Almost twice the size of most LCD screens found on the back of cameras, the Shinobi is 5.2-inches in size making it easier to check your framing and compose your shots. Perfectly for cameras that don’t feature flip out screens, the touchscreen function makes it quick and intuitive to change settings, while a special anti-fingerprint coating reduces smudges interrupting your view.

Portable and Compact Design

Atomos have worked hard to keep the form factor of the Shinobi as small as possible, resulting in one of the lightest monitors ever at only 196g. The lightweight construction makes the monitor ideal for mounting on gimbals and offers a huge amount of functionality and features for content creators without a huge amount of extra weight to carry around.

Shoot with Confidence with Atomos Monitoring Tools

To help you get the most out of your shoot the Shinobi is packed with tools like focus peaking, zebra and false colour guides as well as waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope and a zoom of up to 4:1. The monitor also includes frame guides and a SMPTE safe area overlay to ensure your productions are broadcast ready. Combined with a de-squeeze mode for shooting with anamorphic lenses, this makes the Shinobi more than capable of handling big production requirements.

All New Atomos Analysis View

The Shinobi introduces a new analysis view that can display the shooting guides like scopes, histograms, vectorscopes, audio levels etc, while at the same time displaying an unimpeded view of your framing. This allows you to see your tools without compromising shot visibility with overlays.

Bright 1000nit Display

Boasting an impressive 1000 nit brightness rating and an anti-reflective coating, the Shinobi monitor ensures that you can see your shots clearly, even in bright sunny conditions. It also equips the monitor to display HDR video, future-proofing the monitor for today’s everchanging media landscape. Combined with a super sharp 447ppi resolution this means you can trust image on the screen.

High Dynamic Range More Than 10 Stops

With support for HDR, Log, and HLG the Shinobi displays a super-wide dynamic range of more than 10 stops with a Full HD resolution. The monitor reads .cube files to produce a live LUT display for a more accurate preview of how the graded footage will look, making it easier to judge exposure and white balance when shooting log.

Compatible with Sony NP Style Batteries

Able to be powered by the ever-popular N-style batteries, the Atomos Shinobi External Monitor supports 2600mAh, 5200mAh or 7800mAh capacities, so you the option to pack light or pack higher capacity batteries so you can shoot for longer. The smallest battery provides up to 1.5 hours of use where the larger battery delivers up to 6 hours.
