The Atomos Ninja V is a slim and lightweight external monitor that can record and playback DCI 4K, UHD and HD video. Its 5.2-inch touchscreen is bright and easy-to-see, even in sunny weather. It can also be mounted directly to your camera, cage, gimbal, and more, for easier viewing. The Ninja V supports 10+ stops of High Dynamic Range and records 10-bit at high frame rates directly to its own custom-built mini-SSDs. Compatible with a wide range of log profiles from Sony, Canon, Panasonic, and more, making it easy to monitor your log footage without seeing the flat, washed out colours. For filmmakers looking to get a little more serious, this sleek monitor will make a great addition to your video kit.

5.2-Inch Touchscreen Monitor

The Ninja V sports a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS touchpanel with 1000nits brightness and an anti-reflection finish for easy viewing, even in bright daylight. Made from durable and lightweight aluminium, the Ninja is only 2.5cm thick, making it the perfect companion for mirrorless and DSLR camera rigs.

10+ Stops of Dynamic Range

The monitor features AtomHDR technology for incredibly accurate colour and exposure representation when shooting HDR. It delivers 10+ stops of dynamic range to the LCD in real time from your cameras Log/ PQ/HLG signal. It can also playout Log on HDR or SDR monitors. The screen can be calibrated to maintain perfect colour accuracy over time.

60p 4K DCI/UHD Video Recording

Using HDMI 2.0, the monitor records 4K 10-bit HDR video at up to 60p directly from the camera’s sensor. This bypasses the internal compression quality and recording time limits of your camera. Recordings are ready to edit, stored in Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHR codecs to provide maximum versatility for grading and other post-production adjustments.

Ninja-Sized Mini SSD

Atomos is using the newly designed AtomX SSDmini which is considerably smaller and lighter than normal SSDs while still having the standard SATA III connector for backward compatibility. The SSDmini provides reliable storage with up to 500MB/s read-write speed for efficient recording even at high frame rates. The Ninja V also works with an included Master Caddy II.

Intuitive User Experience

Ninja V is powered by the AtomOS operating system, an intuitive interface that offers simple navigation. Controlling the camera, changing settings, and playing back footage are made easy with one-touch operation. It also provides comprehensive customisation that lets you tailor each shooting experience to the project you’re working on.

On-Screen Monitoring Tools

The Ninja V has an array of standard tools, like histogram, focus peaking and waveform monitoring as well as false colour, vectorscopes, magnification up to 2:1 and support for 3D LUTS. It also supports Anamorphic de-squeezing so you can comfortably view 2x, 1.5x, 1.33x, and Panasonic 8:3 anamorphic footage with no issues.

Comprehensive Audio Input Compatibility

While audio can be input directly from the camera via HDMI, the monitor has a stereo 3.5mm line/mic socket to feed analogue audio signal for cameras that don’t have a built-in microphone. Built-in speakers and a headphone jack are also available for convenient audio monitoring.

Modular Expansion Slot

A built-in modular expansion slot lets you dock a range of separately available expansion modules into the battery slot. This can unlock more advanced features from the Atomos Ninja V, like bi-directional high speed video, audio, and continuous power.
