The Sony Stereo Microphone ECM-XYST1M is compatible with Sony camcorders and digital cameras that have a Multi Interface (MI) Shoe while a stereo mini-jack cable is included for cameras without a MI Shoe. The MI shoe powers the mic using your camera's battery while also transferring sound directly with no additional cables required.

High Quality Sound Recording

An included windscreen effectively minimises wind buffering for clean outdoor recordings. The mic is also equipped with vibration isolators on the mounting holder to minimise mechanical camera noises, so it’s easy to capture sharp audio.

Directional Stereo Pickup with Adjustable Recording Range

The Sony ECMXYST1M makes it easy to record with precision thanks to the microphone’s directional sound pick-up. Capable of independent movement, the mic’s recording range can be adjusted from 0o to 120o. This allows you to isolate solo performances or dialogue from background noise with a tighter mic position, or use the wider set-up to capture ambient sounds more effectively.
