Samyang 14mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC Lens

The Samyang 14mm f/2.8 ultra-wide angle lens is available for every major digital SLR¹ manufacturer including Canon, Nikon, Sony, Olympus and Pentax. Its ultra-wide field of view is great for landscapes and photography within confined spaces. Additionally, the unique wide-angle perspective can be used as an effective artistic tool for creative composition. Similar to the days of earlySLR cameras, the Samyang requires manual focusing and aperture adjustment. Thankfully, the smooth action of the focus ring and 1/2EV increments of the aperture ring make finding correct focus and exposure a breeze. Despite these two omissions, the build and optical quality of the lens is exceptional.

Made from a combination of metal and high quality plastics, the lens features 14 glass elements in 10 groups including two aspherical and two extra-low dispersion (ED) elements.
