Olympus M.Zuiko 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO Lens

The Olympus M.Zuiko 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO Lens is the first Micro Four Thirds mount lens from Olympus to offer a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture across its entire focal range.

Suited to professional and enthusiast photographers, the versatile 12-40 mm focal range delivers a 35mm equivalent of 24-80mm, making it an ideal choice as a walk-around or general purpose lens.

Razor sharp images are delivered via a construction consisting of fourteen lens elements in nine groups. A combination of two extra low dispersion (ED) elements, two high refractive elements, two aspherical elements, one extra low dispersion aspherical element and one high definition element delivers amazing detail across the entire frame, with excellent edge-to-edge clarity.

A Manual Focus Clutch mechanism makes manual focusing smoother with easy execution of push and pull focusing effects when shooting video, plus improved control when fine-tuning for critical focus. With the focus ring pulled toward the user a distance markers appears, making it useful for pre-focus or zone-focus style shooting while improving accuracy for instantly moving to a specific focal distance just as with Snapshot Focus. 

The seven bladed circular constant f/2.8 aperture delivers excellent out-of-focus background effects and ensures improved creative flexibility when shooting in low-light situations.

A robust metal outer construction features six points of weather sealing to provide rugged freeze proof, splash proof and dust proof performance that complements the weather sealing capabilities of the Olympus OM-D E-M1 and E-M5 camera bodies.

The Olympus 12-40 mm f/2.8 PRO M.Zuiko MFT Lens also includes a lens hood to provide improved contrast and a lens case for protection during storage and transportation.
