Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Adapter

This MFi Certified Lightning to 3.5mm female, TRRS adapter from SWAMP lets you connect devices that use a 3.5mm audio plug to your Apple Lightning devices. It's commonly used to connect standard headphones with cables to Apple phones that no longer have the 3.5mm headphone jack output.

MFi Certified cables are made and tested to confirm normal operation for handling remote functions like hearing phone calls whilst playing music and changing the volume through headphones.

TRRS - Tip, Ring, Ring Sleeve - Headphone Output and Mic Input

The 3.5mm TRRS connector allows for both stereo (left and right) headphone output, as well as mic input. For all models of phones, headphone output will always be on the 'Tip', and 'Ring1' (first ring) terminals - this is so a regular 3.5mm stereo TRS jack found on standard headphones will always work with a TRRS plug such as on this adapter. The Mic input is now pretty much standard for all Apple and Android phones to be on the 'Sleeve', meaning that all headsets (headphones and mic in one) will also work with a TRRS plug. Ground signal is carried on the Ring2 terminal. Should you need to split the headphone and the mic signals to different connectors (say if using an external mic and different headphones or speakers), our TRRS splitter will give you dual 3.5mm TRS output plugs.
