Connect Any Combination of Professional Audio

The Saramonic SmartRig+ is a two-channel audio interface that lets you connect any combination of professional microphones, or musical instruments to mirrorless, DSLRs, video cameras, iPads, iPhones, and Android smartphones with a headphone port. It's a small, light device that dramatically improves the sound quality of videos you shoot. It also allows you to capture broadcast-quality audio for podcasting and newsgathering on your mobile device. Furthermore, you can maximise the potential of advanced music-making apps by connecting actual instruments and professional microphones to your mobile device.

Multiple Inputs are Available.

XLR, 1/4” (6.35mm), and 3.5mm are the three types of inputs available on the SmartRig+, each with two of them. All of the inputs are active, and you can use up to four of them simultaneously. The XLR inputs can offer +48 volts of phantom power to condenser microphones, while the 3.5mm inputs provide plug-in power, allowing you to utilise nearly any type of microphone. Impedance-matched 1/4” (6.35mm) inputs deliver the greatest sound quality from electric guitars and basses, as well as acoustic instruments with pickups.

Mono/Stereo Switch

When connected to a camera or TRS input device, the SmartRig+ has a Mono/Stereo switch that lets you pick how the channels are mixed. When the camera or mobile device is set to Mono, anything you plug in, will be mixed and recorded to both channels. When you only have a single microphone plugged in, the Mono setting is handy because the audio will be recorded to both channels on the camera or mobile device. When using two microphones or instruments, the Stereo option (TRS only) is advantageous because both channels will be recorded as separate tracks. This gives you more post-production editing possibilities.

Mix Professional Shotgun and Lavaliere Mics

You can attach and mix professional shotgun and lavaliere mics to greatly increase your sound quality when shooting video on your smartphone. The clean sound is provided by the built-in preamps, and if your camera lacks a headphone output, you can utilise the SmartRig+'s socket. You can easily tune in optimum levels with two well-sized gain control knobs. The SmartRig+ is an ultra-portable device with excellent sound quality that offers a surprising amount of capability for a variety of applications.
