The Zoom Q4 is the ultimate recording tool for musicians, performing artists and YouTube stars. It combines Full High Definition video with high-resolution audio recording, enabling you to shoot professional quality productions with outstanding immersive sound.

High definition video is captured via a 1/3” CMOS sensor which delivers Full HD resolution video at 30fps or HD quality at 60fps. Movies are saved to inexpensive, readily available SD Memory cards (sold separately) and can support cards up to 128GB in size.

The lens features a wide-angle 22mm focal range (35mm equiv.) with a maximum f/2.8 aperture to ensure sharp, high quality footage even in dimly lit environments. Its fixed focus design is combined with an ultra-wide 130° field of view to ensure your shot is always crisp and in focus.

A X/Y microphone mounted on top of the camera utilises two matched unidirectional elements to deliver excellent audio pickup from subjects directly in front of the lens whilst minimising the interference of peripheral sounds coming from the sides or behind the camera. A windsock is also included to shield against wind distortion when shooting in difficult conditions and ensures optimum quality when recording on the move.

The Q4 supports WAV or Compressed ACC format recordings and delivers a range of audio quality options to suit your needs. When the highest quality audio is required 16 or 24-bit uncompressed WAVs are available at 96, 48 or 44.1kHz. When quality is not a crucial factor ACC files ranging in quality from 64 to 320kbps can be selected to save valuable memory card space.

For more specialised audio requirements, a stereo input jack with plug in power can be utilised to support an external microphone. Additionally, a stereo headphone/line out jack is available for live monitoring whilst recording and during video playback.

Composition, playback and menu navigation is a straightforward affair via the removable full-colour rotating 2-inch LCD screen. The camera‘s innovative design allows the screen to be completely detached during shooting for extended battery life and additional portability.

The right side of the camera allows you to adjust input levels, gain and lo cut whilst recording is in progress, ensuring you can quickly and easily fine-tune your sound settings on-the-fly if your shooting conditions change unexpectedly. A SD Card LED and battery indicator also feature on the side of the camera to provide a visual reminder if you are running low on memory or battery.

The base of the camera features a three prong mount which is compatible with the extensive range of GoPro mounts and accessories. This instantly adds to the creative versatility of the Zoom Q4 and ensures it can deliver high quality video and audio ensuring you won’t have to compromise on your creativity.
