The Syrp Genie II Linear is a motorised device for camera movement that just like the original Genie is compatible with any slider but unlike the Genie now boasts a stack of new features. It has an improved motor that is both stronger and quieter, a built-in control joystick as well as removable batteries, so you can carry as much power with you as you need. It also introduces support for keyframing movements with the new Syrp app as well as a live-view mode with wireless camera control that ensures that you have precision control over your time-lapse and cinematic camera movements.
Attach to any Slider
With a versatile design, the Syrp Genie II can attach to any slider on the market to turn it into a sophisticated motion control device. This means you can capture smooth time-lapse footage with even just a manual slider by simply attaching the unit and the rope attachment hooks.
Capture Buttery Smooth Camera Movements
Originally created for time-lapse photographers and packed with video features, the Genie system has been completely re-designed from the ground up to provide even better performance for video shooters and more control for time-lapse photographers. The new supercharged motor is quieter and can support a payload up to 7.5kg for horizontal movement and 5kg for vertical movement.
Live-View with Wireless Camera Control
The updated Syrp app allows you to have extensive control over not just the movement of your shot but also camera settings like ISO, aperture and shutter speed. This means that using the built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB-C ports, you can modify your exposure or depth of field on-the-go, even when your camera’s out of reach. Not only can you change settings, but the app can also show you a live-view of your shot, so you can double check your exposure and framing.
Keyframe your Movement
A fantastic new feature that has been added to the Syrp app is the ability to program camera movements using keyframes. This allows you to set the course or speed of the movement and program in changes at specific times or positions, so you can capture more complex and cinematic motion.
Bulb Ramping and Time-lapse Compile Preview
It is easy to see why time-lapse photographers love the Genie system, because Syrp continue to deliver super useful features like the compiler that can generate a time-lapse preview on-the-fly with the Syrp App. The Genie II even has an automated bulb ramping mode that is perfect for holy grail sunrise or sunset time-lapses. It makes it easier to capture correctly exposed scenes when there are dramatic changes in light.
Connect as many pieces of track as you want to enjoy endless tracking, the unique rope drive system means that you can increase the length of your track and just use more rope when a longer tracking shot is required.
Built-in Joystick for Realtime Control
Boasting an all-new integrated joystick, you can now setup, trigger and control the Genie II without needing to use a mobile device at all, useful just in case you run out of power in the field. It can also be used to position the device in real-time, so you can set up your shot without any hassle.
Compatible with Genie Mini and Genie Mini Pan Kit
Syrp have made sure that the Genie II Linear is backwards compatible so that it can be used with their previous model camera movement devices. This allows photographers to create 2 or 3-axis motion control rigs with the Genie mini and Genie mini pan kit that are more cost-effective.
Made for the Genie II Pan Tilt
The Genie II Linear was created to work in conjunction with the Genie II Pan and Tilt unit for complete 3-axis control. With a unique quick release plate built into the top that accommodates the pan and tilt head, connecting the two systems is lightning fast and easy
