The Rode Stereo VideoMic Pro is a compact and lightweight on-camera stereo microphone, suitable for use with camcorders, DSLRs and portable audio recorders. With an integrated Rycote Lyre suspension mount and a high sensitivity cardioid condenser capsule, the microphone captures broadcast-quality audio while blocking ambient noise. Integrated Rycote Lyre Shock Mounts

The VideoMic Pro R is equipped with a Rycote Lyre shock mount suspension system that separates the microphone’s capsule and electronics from the base of the unit to minimise handling noise and other vibrations. Made from durable thermoplastic , the Lyre provides superior acoustic suspension.

High Sensitivity Cardioid Condensers

Featuring a matched pair of half-inch cardioid condenser capsules with an X/Y stereo configuration, the microphone provides a wide stereo image with impressive natural depth. The high sensitivity capsules with a low floor noise ensure crystal clear and immersive recording.

3-Step Equalisation Controls

The mic features a 3-position level control. A -10dB PAD reduces the microphone’s sensitivity, making it suitable for recording loud sounds like live music or sporting events. The +20dB level boost is designed for use with DSLRs and ensures a better quality signal with increased recording clarity.

2-Step High Pass Filter

With a 2-step high-pass filter at 75 Hz, the microphone is capable of minimising unwanted ambient noise that’s generated by things like traffic, appliances, air conditioning units, and other undesirable low frequency interference.

High Quality Windscreen

An integrated, dense foam windscreen significantly minimises wind noise making it suitable for outdoor recording.

RF Shielding and Kevlar Reinforced Cable

A Kevlar-reinforced cable with enhanced RF shielding offers extra durability and also helps preserve your audio quality. RF shielding ensures that nothing interferes with your audio signal, like your camera’s WiFi or the use of a separately available RODELink Wireless System.

Metal Shoe Mount with 3/8 Inch Thread

The VideoMic Pro Rycote has a sturdy metal shoe mount that makes attachment directly to your camera simple and fast. The bottom of the shoe features a 3/8 inch thread for attachment to boom poles or other compatible mounts and accessories.
