The Panasonic Interface Unit (DMW-YAGH) is designed exclusively for the Lumix GH4 to provide filmmakers with additional audio and video connectivity options to ensure maximum creative flexibility and streamlined workflow.

The Interface Unit features four BNC connectors that support 4K and Full HD output with time code. For complete compatibility, two connectors are 3G-SDI capable while the other two are HD-SDI compliant. The unit can handle quad-link SDI 4K video in 4:2:2/10-bit* and dual-link 4:2:2/10-bit 1080p* at up to 60fps or four simultaneous 1080p streams at 30fps. An additional BNC connector is provided for custom Time Code input. The unit also converts the GH4’s micro HDMI output to a standard HDMI out for better compatibility with a broader range of recorders and monitors.

Audio capabilities are extended via two monaural XLR inputs with +48V phantom power for line or external microphones. Independent volume control of the left and right channels plus an audio level display monitor ensures perfect audio to match your razor sharp 4K footage.

A 12VDC 4-pin XLR input can be combined with third-party large-capacity external batteries for power, making the Panasonic Interface Unit for the DMC-GH4 a complete professional solution for film and video production.
