Weighing in at less than 1600g, it has a closed length of 40cm and is capable of supporting a massive maximum payload of 8kg. It boasts a maximum height of 151cm with an extendable centre column, QPL travel lever leg locks and includes a ball head system with quick release plate as well as a padded bag for easy transport.

Includes Heavy Duty 494 Ball Head

The tripod includes a 494 aluminium centre ball head that supports heavy gear with a maximum payload of 8kg. The compact head has a large ergonomic control wheel to lock and release the ball head with an internal dial to modify the grip tension, as well as a second control wheel that allows 360°adjustments to the panning axis.

Versatile Multi-Compatible Quick Release Plate

The sturdy ball head is complemented with the 200PL-PRO quick release plate which provides a versatile way to attach your gear that is compatible with Arca-Type mounts as well as the Manfrotto RC-2 system as well. This lets you setup ultra-quickly using either system and provides extensive compatibility.

Maximum 151cm Height with Centre Column

With the centre column and legs fully extended the tripod reaches an impressive maximum height of 151cm allowing users to capture shots and footage from higher perspectives. Perfect for when shooting around crowds or for more unique angles.

Four Section Design for Portability

The tripod legs are divided into four sections, and once retracted can be folded over themselves and around the centre column, allowing the tripod to pack down to a compact 40cm for easy transport when trekking. The tripod can be used for macro shots by simply unfolding the legs but leaving them inverted around the centre column, this allows you to get ultra close to your subject.

Three Leg Angles and Side Button

With a choice of three leg angles, the tripod can be setup on uneven terrain, giving you the confidence to get the shot no matter where you are. Setting the leg angles are easy with the ergonomic selector that can be used by both left-handed and right-handed operators

Easy Link Connection for Accessories

An Easy Link port is included at the base of the tripod column that allows you to add in lighting, monitors or other photography accessorises with the use of a Manfrotto magic arm or Friction Arm.

Advanced Travel QPL Leg Locks

The QPL travel levers are a more compact version of the powerful QPL locks that are used to lock all segments of the legs securely in place, providing heavier cameras with extra stability without compromising on portability.

Constructed from an aluminium alloy the tripod is designed to support a payload as heavy as 8kg, making it perfect for any DSLR, or mirrorless camera as well as longer, heavier lenses.

Rubber Feet and Ballast Hook

The rubberised feet on the tripod allow it to be used on smooth surfaces, while the ballast hook at the base of the centre column is designed to suspend ballast or a weighted camera bag in order to keep the tripod steady outdoors in high wind.

Tripod Bag with Padding

A tripod bag included with the Manfrotto Befree Advanced Tripod Kit allows for it to be transported and stored easily, while also protecting the tripod from accidental knock and bumps.
