Rugged design – The TTL Tuff receiver is housed in a solid casing with a tough silicone rubber outer housing to reduce the risk of damage from accidental impact.
Great for outdoors or studio shooting – perfect for capturing wildlife and other outdoor photography; or in the studio. With the optional mini USB to 3.5mm/6.3mm sync cable you can also use the Tuff TTL to trigger studio lights.
Fire Multiple Flashes – add this receiver to your Hahnel Tuff TTL wireless flash trigger set (sold separately) to trigger additional flashes. Multiple receivers are paired using digital channel matching. You can add an unlimited amount of additional receivers.
Canon E-TTL compatible – compatible with Canon’s E-TTL flash exposure system when used with compatible Canon cameras and TTL speedlites. Sends exposure information to the flash so you can concentrate on getting the shot right!
2.4GHz wireless radio transmission - ensures reliable & dependable flash triggering with a range of more than 200m. With radio triggers you are not restricted to line-of-sight communication and don’t have the limitations that optical systems have in broad daylight.
Flash Exposure Compensation - You can control the output of the flash using flash exposure compensation control from within your camera menu, whether you are in normal, HSS or Second-curtain Sync modes.
High Speed Sync (HSS) mode – selectable on the Tuff TTL transmitter (sold separately) via the main “M” Menu Button, HSS mode allows you to achieve shutter speeds beyond the cameras’ normal flash sync speed and will allow syncing up to the highest shutter speed on the camera (though at reduced flash output). Perfect for “shutting down” ambient light levels to achieve a unique look to your subject, even in broad daylight.
Second Curtain Sync - selectable on the Tuff TTL transmitter (sold separately) via the main “M” Menu Button, Second-curtain Sync allows you to achieve “dragged shutter” effects on things like lights at night time whilst capturing a sharp image of your main subject.
Digital Channel Matching - provides reliable TTL connection & eliminates the risk of interference from other wireless products within range.
Easy-to-use controls – These units are Plug & Play. Just connect to your flash and start shooting beautifully exposed flash photos!
Large “Test” button – The large test button makes it easy to ensure everything is working.
Power ON/OFF slide switches – A Power switch allows you to easily power off the device, conserving battery power when not in use or when you don’t wish to use the flash.
Mini USB Port – A mini USB port on both the transmitter and receiver allows for firmware upgrades, as well as optional external power, and for connecting the receiver to studio lights using the optional studio sync cable.
Convenient Power Source – The Tuff TTL receiver is conveniently powered by 2 x AA batteries. Expect to get around 120 hours of use from a pair of regular alkaline AA batteries.
1/4-inch Tripod Mount - Receiver has a 1 /4-inch socket underneath for mounting to 1/4 inch tripod mounts, lighting spigots with ¼” male thread etc.
