Optically, the Sigma 23mm f/1.4 DC DN C features 3 SLD glass elements and 2 aspherical elements to help maintain outstanding sharpness and detail across the frame, while keeping aberrations and distortion under control. Super Multi-Layer Coating improves colour accuracy and contrast, and helps reduce flare and reflections. The lens is also equipped with a stepping AF motor for fast, quiet autofocus that suits both stills and video.

Additional features include a durable brass bayonet mount, compatibility with the Sigma USB Dock for future firmware upgrades, and an inner focusing design that helps keep the lens compact and easy to handle.
