SeaLife SportDiver Smartphone Housing

Take your underwater photography and video further with the SeaLife SportDiver Smartphone Housing. Designed with an ergonomic shape and intuitive controls, it is simple to use and helps deliver excellent results beneath the surface. The SportDiver is compatible with most Android models and all iPhones from iPhone 8 and up, including all iPhone 17 models.

The SeaLife SportDiver underwater housing works with most Android models and iPhone 8 and later.

Built for dives down to 130 feet / 40 metres, the SportDiver allows you to capture photos and video with your iPhone underwater. Compatible iPhone models include iPhone 8, 8 Plus, X, Xr, Xs, Xs Max, 11, 11 Pro Max, SE (2nd Gen), 12, 12 Mini, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max, 13, 13 Mini, 13 Pro, 13 Max, 14, 14 Pro, 14 Pro Max, 14 Plus, 15, 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, 15 Plus, 16, 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max. The housing is made from polycarbonate, stainless steel, aluminium and optical grade glass. Although heavy-duty in construction, it remains lightweight at less than 1.5 lb (641 g) and is ideal for travel, with near-neutral buoyancy in water depending on the iPhone model used.

Comfortable to hold and easy to operate, the SportDiver includes a large shutter lever and rear control buttons for straightforward use, even when wearing dive gloves. Snorkellers and divers can also make use of advanced camera settings to create more dynamic images and video, including:

The SportDiver includes the free SeaLife SportDiver camera app for iOS 12 and later. Unlike many other smartphone housing apps, there are no in-app purchases or ads. Switching between photo and video modes is quick and easy, and the app uses the native iPhone camera technology built into each compatible model.

Playback mode displays full-size photos and videos with a vertical thumbnail strip for easy image browsing. Videos begin playing automatically when selected, and all files are saved to the iPhone camera roll. The SportDiver automatically connects to your iPhone and the app using Bluetooth¨ Low Energy (LE) 5 wireless technology. No cables or buttons touch the phone, and power consumption is extremely low for both the phone and the housing. The housing is powered by two AAA batteries that provide over 50 hours of continuous use.

For improved underwater imaging, the SportDiver includes a removable colour-correction filter that restores natural underwater colours. It can be fitted or removed easily underwater and comes with a safety tether to help prevent loss. The housing also features triple 1/4-20 tripod mounts for attaching to any light or light tray with standard tripod threads, including SeaLifeÕs range of Sea Dragon underwater photo/video lights.

To protect your phone, the SportDiver uses a strong holding spring and rubber grip tabs to keep the smartphone securely in place while adding shock protection. Dual Leak Alarms provide added peace of mind, with both an internal moisture alarm and a vacuum pressure alarm. If the waterproof seal is compromised, or if pressure is lost or moisture is detected, the diver is alerted with on-screen warnings, audio and LED signals. The door is sealed with a TPE O-ring and a robust cam-lock sealing latch for a secure, watertight closure. To help prevent internal fogging caused by residual moisture, the SportDiver also uses a Moisture Muncher capsule to reduce condensation.
