Its 20.9MP DX-format image sensor captures detailed stills for everyday photography and travel, while also recording 4K UHD video. For confident subject tracking and framing, it features a 209-point hybrid AF system and continuous shooting at up to 11 frames per second.

Inspired by classic Nikon film SLRs such as the Nikon FM2, the Nikon Z fc combines heritage styling with modern mirrorless technology. Its retro design includes textured black leather, matte silver body accents, an engraved Nikon name, and traditional buttons and dials. To suit a more personalised look, the textured leather is also available in several vibrant colours.

A high-resolution EVF sits on the rear of the camera, finished in a distinctive round shape to match the retro theme. Dedicated physical dials are provided for ISO, shutter speed and exposure compensation, while the 3-inch LCD is tilting and touch-sensitive for flexible shooting.
