Its 20.9MP DX-format image sensor captures sharp stills for everyday shooting and travel, while also recording 4K UHD video. For reliable subject tracking and fast action, it features a 209-point Hybrid AF system and continuous shooting at up to 11 frames per second.

Inspired by classic Nikon film SLRs such as the Nikon FM2, the Z fc features a retro design with textured black leather, a matte silver camera body, an engraved Nikon name and classic buttons and dials. For a more personal look, the textured leather is also available in several vibrant colour options.

At the rear is a high-resolution electronic viewfinder (EVF) with a round shape that continues the vintage styling.
