Flattering Field of View
The 59mm full-frame equivalent perspective sits neatly between a standard and short portrait lens, making it a versatile option for solo portraits, group images, street scenes, landscapes and still life. The f/3.4 maximum aperture is a little faster than other P-series lenses, giving you useful control over background separation and subject isolation. Its optical design includes aspherical and extra-low dispersion (ED) elements to produce sharp, colour-accurate results that meet the demands of 100MP medium format sensors.
Fast, Intuitive Autofocus
A linear stepping motor drives a small, lightweight internal focusing group for fast, precise and near-silent autofocus, with no change to the lens length during focusing. The internal focusing design also supports smooth, predictable manual focus operation. The leaf shutter offers shutter speeds from 1/2000 sec to 68 minutes, with flash sync available at every speed.
Elegant, Travel-Ready Build
Weighing just 14 oz and measuring 2.8" when mounted, this lens is 45% lighter and 24% shorter than the XCD 65mm f/2.8, making it a practical choice for location work, travel and street shooting. The streamlined metal barrel features a single engraved focusing ring with the iconic 'H' logo, while the lens name is engraved on the barrel for a refined, understated finish.
