HARMAN RED 125 is a medium-speed ISO 125 redscale film based on the HARMAN Phoenix emulsion.
Redscale is the effect created by shooting through the back of a colour film, exposing the red-sensitive layer first. This produces striking results dominated by reds, oranges and yellows.
With a DX-coded cassette, edge signing and a box speed of ISO 125, HARMAN RED has a usable exposure range of EI 50-400. For best results, we recommend shooting between EI 100-200 depending on scene brightness and contrast.
Depending on exposure and the colour characteristics of the scene, images can range from intense, apocalyptic-style bright orange and red tones to more subtle orange and green tones with delicate shadows.
Exposure guide:
- Under exposure: coarser grain, prominent shadows, deeper reds
- Normal exposure: normal grain, consistent orange tones, softer shadows
- Over exposure: finer grain, brighter and more contrasty images, varying tones
See the technical data sheet for development and scanning recommendations.
Development: standard C-41 processing.
