The X-E5 body has a timeless look, finished in machined aluminium with an angular top plate inspired by traditional cameras. The top plate is carved from a single piece of metal for improved handling and smoother dial operation, while the anodised finish adds to the refined, premium feel. The redesigned Film Simulation dial features a precision-cut indicator window with minimal gaps, and users can save their own Film Simulation and image quality settings to the FS1ÐFS3 positions for a personalised setup.

Classic Display mode simplifies the viewfinder by placing key information neatly at the bottom of the frame. Combined with a layout designed for one-handed operation of the dials and Command Lever, the X-E5 helps you stay focused on the scene. The Front Control Lever also activates Surround View, which shows the area outside the image frame for an OVF-like viewing experience and makes it easier to monitor what is about to enter the shot. Although it remains similar in size to its predecessor, the X-E5 adds a powerful five-axis In-Body Image Stabilisation (IBIS) system, delivering up to 7.0 stops of stabilisation in the centre and 6.0 stops at the edges.
