The Fujifilm X-E5 body has a refined classic look, crafted from machined aluminium with an angular top plate that reflects the feel of traditional cameras. The top plate is carved from a single piece of metal, improving both handling and dial operation, while the anodised finish adds to its premium appearance. The newly designed Film Simulation dial includes a precision-cut indicator window for a clean, exact finish. It also allows you to save your own Film Simulation and image quality recipes to the FS1-FS3 positions for a more personalised shooting experience.

The X-E5 also introduces Classic Display mode, which simplifies the viewfinder layout by placing key information neatly at the bottom of the frame. Combined with one-handed operation of the dials and Command Lever, this helps you stay focused on your subject with the camera to your eye. The Front Control Lever activates the Surround View function, giving an OVF-like view of areas outside the image frame so you can see what is about to enter the shot. Although it is similar in size to its predecessor, the X-E5 adds a major upgrade in the form of a five-axis In-Body Image Stabilisation (IBIS) system, delivering up to 7.0 stops of stabilisation at the centre and 6.0 stops at the edges.
