The Datacolor Spyder Essential Colorimeter is a monitor calibration tool designed for photographers, content creators, and digital designers of all experience levels. It helps ensure your display accurately represents the images you capture, edit, create, and view, providing a reliable colour-accurate foundation for both digital and print workflows.
Portable and rugged, the Datacolor Spyder Essential Colorimeter supports a wide range of monitor technologies, including Wide and Standard gamut LED, OLED, QD-OLED, Mini LED, and Apple Liquid Retina XDR displays. It is designed to help optimise colour richness, deep shadows, highlights, and detail, with support for brightness levels up to 3000 nits. If your needs expand, upgrade options are available without replacing the hardware.
DatacolorÕs Device Preview Beta lets you preview how images may appear on other devices without needing to load them onto the devices themselves. You can select profiles for a smartphone, tablet, or other device, and also soft proof for print using an ICC printer profile to preview how output may look with a specific printer model, paper and ink, and print service provider. One-click calibration presets are included, and the software automatically adapts with a room-light monitor for more accurate previews.
Fast, simple calibration
Spyder can calibrate your monitor in around 90 seconds, helping you start editing from an accurate colour baseline while saving time in your workflow. The result is true-to-life colour and fine detail.
Easy for beginners, flexible for professionals
With intuitive software and one-click calibration, it is straightforward to use while still delivering professional results. Experienced users can also take advantage of custom calibration settings for greater creative control.
Built for modern displays
The Datacolor Spyder Essential Colorimeter calibrates a broad range of laptop and desktop monitors, including OLED, mini-LED, and Apple Liquid Retina XDR displays, as well as wide and standard LED gamuts.
