The DJI RS 4 Mini includes auto axis locks previously seen on flagship DJI gimbals. The locks automatically release when the gimbal is powered on and engage when it is powered off, helping speed up shooting, transitions and storage. The axis arms also fold flatter, making this gimbal especially convenient for travel.

Balancing your camera on the DJI RS 4 Mini is easier than ever. Teflonª interlayers, previously used on flagship gimbals, reduce friction for smoother balancing, while the new fine-tuning knob allows precise millimetre-level adjustments. The quick-release plate with three positioning slots provides more balancing room and remembers your camera position for faster reattachment without needing to rebalance.

The DJI RS 4 Mini touchscreen interface has also been improved, with clearer icons and smoother performance. New status prompts make operation more intuitive, and settings can be adjusted more easily using the front dial. A new auto-lock function dims the screen and shows the current gimbal and joystick modes, helping prevent accidental touches and conserve battery life.
