Celestron EclipSmart binoculars use Solar Safe filter technology to provide strong protection from harmful solar radiation. Unlike detachable filters that can be dislodged, the EclipSmart Solar Binocular features built-in filters integrated into the objective lenses. That means you can observe the Sun with confidence, knowing the filters cannot be knocked off while in use.

Solar Safe Filter Technology

EclipSmart solar products are equipped with Solar Safe filter technology for protection against harmful solar radiation, including IR and UV light, as well as 99.999% of visible light. Celestron Solar Safe filter technology is safe for direct solar viewing and has been independently tested to meet the transmission requirements of ISO 12312-2:2015(E), Filters for Direct Observation of the Sun.

Important safety note: inspect the objective lens filters before each use. Do not use the binoculars and discard them if the filters are damaged, scratched, or separated from the frame in any way.

The Body

A durable aluminium body with rubber armour helps protect your EclipSmart binocular from damage. Folding eyecups make them comfortable for both eyeglass wearers and non-eyeglass wearers. Fold the eyecups down for use with glasses, or leave them extended if you do not wear glasses.
