With conventional ejection systems, the finer the ink droplets, the more they can be affected by airflow caused by print head movement and by changes in ink viscosity due to temperature variations. This can lead to uneven ejection volume and inconsistent dot placement. CanonÕs FINE print head is designed so that all ink beneath the heater is expelled in a single ejection, delivering efficient performance. Ink droplet speed has also been increased to more than 1.5 times that of conventional systems, reducing the effects of airflow and improving placement accuracy.
