BlackMagic Atem Mini Extreme ISO G2 is an updated 8-input live production switcher designed for live streaming, recording, and webcam use, with an integrated control panel and broadcast-style workflow features. It offers RTMP streaming, USB webcam output, and a redesigned front panel with large red/green source buttons, a new hardware fader, multiple knob controls, a CFexpress card slot, and a Thunderbolt port for recording and playback.

With eight HDMI inputs, the BlackMagic Atem Mini Extreme ISO G2 supports HD sources up to 1080p60 and includes dedicated standards converters on every input for smooth switching between different camera, computer, and console formats. It also supports up to 16-way multiview over HDMI, making it suitable for monitoring cameras, preview, program, and stream status on a single display.

The switcher includes advanced live production tools such as nine M/E layers, four upstream keyers, two downstream keyers, up to four chroma keyers, up to four linear keyers, two DVE effects with borders and drop shadow, five pattern generators, and two colour generators. Audio is handled through the integrated Fairlight mixer, with two XLR microphone inputs, additional stereo audio inputs, and a headphone output.

ISO recording allows each of the eight inputs to be recorded individually as MP4 files, along with the program output. The unit also creates a DaVinci Resolve project file automatically, making it easier to revisit cuts, graphics, effects, and colour grades after the event. Media pool stills, timecode, camera numbers, and audio sources are also saved with the recordings.

Thanks to Thunderbolt connectivity, the BlackMagic Atem Mini Extreme ISO G2 can support fill and key playback, capture, CFexpress card access, and trickle power through a single computer connection. It can also be used with DaVinci Resolve for live replay workflows, including point-of-interest switching and multi-camera replay control.
