The Small HD FOCUS 7 is a large external Full HD monitor, with a stack of features to improve the shooting experience for independent filmmakers and small production teams. It has an impressive 1000 nit brightness rating that makes the display viewable even in strong daylight combined with a touch sensitive interface and SmallHD’s powerful OS3 software for full customisation.

Large 7-inch Monitor Size

Sick of squinting at the tiny LCD on the back of your camera, while trying to frame up a shot? You’ll love the large 7-inch IPS screen of the FOCUS 7. Building on the success of the FOCUS 5 the 7 takes it to the next level with a 1920x1200 high resolution display that makes it easier to make sure your subject is in focus.

Daylight Viewable Display

SmallHD have not only boosted the resolution but the brightness as well, with the SmallHD now offering an impressive 1000 nits of brightness. This means you can clearly see the screen in a wide range of lighting conditions, even in bright daylight.

Recessed Full Size HDMI with 4K Input

The full-size HDMI port on the monitor supports video signals with a resolution up to 4K30p and is slightly recessed inside the monitor to protect against knocks, bumps, and accidental disconnections.

Full Sized SD Slot to Load Custom LUTs

A bult-in SD card slot allows you to load custom look up tables (LUTs) for more accurate results when shooting with log colour profiles. It can also be used to load custom monitor profiles, new firmware and screen overlays that help you shoot the wide range of aspect ratios and formats required for today’s modern media landscape.

Dual Sony L-Style Battery Sockets

Two slots are available to power the Small HD Focus 7 with support for the ever-popular Sony L-style batteries. By using two separate slots it is possible to hot swap batteries for continuous power if required. Batteries with a capacity of 2000mAh – 6300mAh are supported.

Robust Design with Lightweight Construction

Designed with cinematographers and working professionals in mind, the monitor is the perfect blend of portability and reliability. With a fine aluminium bezel, the edges of the screen are protected against small knocks and bumps, while four separate 1/4-inch sockets provide the ability to mount the monitor to a variety of accessories and gear.

Under the Hood

Far from a one trick pony, the monitor has tools to get the most out of your shoot. Features like aspect ratio frame guides, peaking, false colour and histograms can be saved on a series of customisable ‘pages’ that can be set depending on your needs. The monitor also provides an anamorphic de-squeeze function, waveform display for Luma or RGB, as well as a vectorscope, zebra guide, and pixel zoom for manual focus assist.
