Sensor-Shift Technology

Pentax’s impressive sensor-shift technology powers in-body shake reduction (SR), which allows users to stabilise any attached lens, whether Pentax or third party, manual or automatic and compensate for camera vibrations or handheld shake.

The sensor-shift technology can be utilised in an AA Filter Simulation mode to replicate the effect of an AA filter and reduce moire in situations where it may be an issue.

Excellent Autofocus and Lowlight Capabilities

With a high ISO sensitivity that goes up to 51200, this camera is able to capture photographs in very low light, using only gorgeous ambient light. For situations that are particularly dark, a built in flash lets you keep shooting and not miss any moments.

The SAFOX X 11 point autofocus system quickly acquires critical focus on your subject matter, even in low light situations, thanks to an impressive AF sensitivity range from EV -3 to 18. There are 9 centre cross-type autofocus points in the camera. Where manual focus is required, users can activate a Focus Peaking mode for assistance.
