Offering a built-in shake reduction (SR) mechanism, the Pentax K-1 Mark II is the perfect companion for hand held photographers. A 36.4-megapixel CMOS sensor and 14-bit image processor work together to capture Full HD video and beautiful high resolution photos. The K-1 mark II has a 33-point autofocus system that works quickly to track and focus on moving subjects. Light sensitivity range of up to ISO 819200 means that details will come out crisp and clear, even in very low light conditions. The lightweight and weather resistant body makes it the perfect travel companion while the GPS geo-tracking will make it easy to map and share all your adventures.
36.4 Megapixel Sensor
Featuring a full frame CMOS sensor, the K-1 MkII delivers high quality 36.4-megapixel images without an anti-aliasing (AA) filter for maximum resolution. An AA filter simulator minimises moire patterning, ensuring clean imagery and accurate colour rendition, while giving users the ability to adjust the level to best suit each photo or video.
Light Sensitivity to ISO 819200
The 14-bit Prime IV Processor works in tandem with a new accelerator unit to bring out vibrant colours and reduce noise all the way up to the camera’s huge ISO 819200. This flexibility makes the K1 mark II perfect for working super low-light conditions.
Built-In Shake Reduction Mechanism
Leave the tripod at home and travel light thanks to the onboard 5-axis Shake Reduction (SR) system. Effective with any K-mount lens up to 5 stops, the stabilisation is optimised for the full-sized sensor, allowing you to capture smooth pans and sharp photos.
Pixel Shift Resolution System II
Using the camera’s SR mechanism, the redeveloped Pixel Shift Resolution System II captures four sequential images and now records RGB colour data for each pixel to create a super high-resolution composite image equivalent to 42 megapixels. The resulting photos are sharp with incredibly fine detail and true to life colour, allowing you to shoot handheld for more creative flexibility.
33 Autofocus Points
A SAFOX 12 Autofocus sensor module optimises the image sensor to provide high speed and accurate focussing across all 33 AF points, including 25 cross-type. A revised AF Tracking algorithm results in improved tracking of faster moving subjects in AF-C mode, which means that you can capture action shots with confidence.
Full HD 1080p Video
Equipped with Full HD video recording capabilities, you can capture high-resolution footage at up to 30p at 1080p or 60p at HD 720 in the H.264 format. The Pentax K1 Mark II can capture 4K clips in fixed intervals and includes a host of creative tools that let you adjust audio recording levels manually, monitor sound pressure levels during mic recording, and more.
Never miss another moment thanks to the high speed continuous shooting. Capable of shooting up to 17 RAW images in a single sequence, you can capture up to 4.4 images in one second while a damper mechanism reduces mirror shock for stability and consistency. Ideal for fast action and sports, the APS-C Crop further boosts shooting speed to up to 6.4 photos per second.
Large Cross-Tilt LCD Screen
Featuring a large 3.2-inch LCD screen, it’s easy to adjust your settings and review your photos in a range of lighting conditions. The 1.04m-dot display can cross-tilt in all four directions, giving you greater compositional and viewing capabilities.
Dual SD Card Slots
Dual SD card slots offer a professional level of versatility. Compatible with SDXC UHS-1 speed class cards, you can shoot with the security of having a back-up card or sequential recording that switches to the second card once the first one is full. You can also choose to shoot JPEG to one card, and RAW to the other for even further customised storage on the go.
Real-Time Scene Analysis
A reliable 86,000-pixel RGB metering sensor combined with the Prime IV processor optimises settings for any shooting condition. Measuring and analysing brightness, movement and colour to assist you in setting the perfect exposure for maximum detail and clarity.
Built-In GPS and AstroTracer
Take the Pentax K1 Mk II on all your travels and your photos will include handy metadata thanks to the built-in GPS. Pinpointing your photos’ location, direction, and time of shooting, this is perfect for organising and sharing your memories. Working alongside the SRII mechanism, the Asto Tracer function uses the camera’s GPS to help produce sharp photos of the night sky with less smearing.
Operation-Assist Light Function
Building on the camera’s lowlight capabilities are four handy lights that make it easy to operate the K-1ii in the dark. Conveniently located around the memory card slot, cable switch, lens, and control buttons, you’ll never have to fumble around during night shoots again.
Lightweight and Weather-Resistant Build
Sealed at 87 different parts of the camera body, the Pentax K1 Mark II DSLR is weather and dust resistant, giving you the confidence to shoot in rugged terrain and different climates. The stainless-steel chassis and magnesium alloy shell is lightweight and durable, making this your favourite camera for years to come.
