The Movcam Cage kit for the Panasonic Lumix GH5 and GH5s offers protection for the camera body and provides multiple mounting points to accessorise your camera for video production. The kit includes a lightweight magnesium cage, twist handle, riser block, baseplate and 15” Light Weight Support (LWS) rods.
Ultra-Light Magnesium Alloy Construction
The Movcam Cage is constructed out of a single piece of magnesium that not only provides exceptional strength and rigidity but also makes it incredibly light. The cage fits securely and has the same finished look as the camera, allowing you to leave it mounted on your camera unnoticed for handheld use.
Easy and Versatile Design
The single-piece design of the cage does not require assembling of any parts and mounts to the camera through a built in Arca-Swiss base plate. This removable plate is compatible with the Arca-Swiss clamp on the included riser making it convenient to switch between tripods or gimbals while the camera still mounted to the cage.
Multiple Mounting Points
In addition to the base plate, the Movcam cage has one cold shoe mount and several 1/4”-20 threaded holes for mounting multiple accessories. The cage also optimises versatility by including two additional slots for hand straps while leaving the camera’s original strap rings accessible.
Baseplate with LWS 15mm Rods
The Movcam Cage Kit for Panasonic GH5 / GH5s also comes with a pair of 8" 15mm LWS rods positioned at the perfect height for a mattebox and follow focus. A removable ARRI Dovetail system is also built into the base plate, giving you the option to balance the whole set up on a tripod for extra stability.
Removable Top Handle
Made from genuine Canadian maple wood, the ergonomic top handle gives you a solid and comfortable grip on your camera. It includes two extra cold shoe mounts and an extra port for a viewfinder. Mounted onto an included riser with a NATO rail, the handle leaves access to the camera’s hot shoe unobstructed providing access for your external accessories.
Secure Design
Keep your rig secure with the heaviest and longest lenses using an included removable support bracket. The bracket can be attached to the baseplate to provide stability for your camera. The cage is also designed to support an included micro-HDMI cable protector lock that secures your 4K HDMI cable in place, giving you one less thing to worry about on shoots.
