Incident Detection Keeps an Eye on the Road Always

With incident detection, you’ll always have one eye on the road. Using Garmin’s G-Sensor technology to detect bumps and impacts, the camera automatically starts recording with a buffer just before the incident occurs to capture the event in its entirety. The saved video provides you with an accurate eye-witness account of where and when an incident has happened.

Stay Alert with a Range of Safety Warnings

Adding further to your peace of mind, the Garmin Cam also has a range of safety alerts. It features forward collision and lane departure warnings, as well as a “Go” alert to notify you when traffic ahead of you has moved. Additionally, it even warns you about any nearby reported speed and red light cameras so you can be more aware of the roads around you (may require subscription to stay up to date)

Plug-In Power with Integrated Backup Battery

A vehicle adapter is included to power the camera and recording starts as soon as it’s plugged in, or when the car is turned on. Travelapse Photo Mode

Travel-lapse mode is designed for creating easy-to-share videos that feature the best parts of your drive. The camera will shoot a still image every 30 seconds, condensing hours of driving into a few minutes, perfect for documenting even the most epic, long and winding road trips. 

Parking Surveillance Supported

With support for parking surveillance mode, you can use your Garmin to monitor your vehicle even when you’re not driving. The camera requires a separately available Garmin Parking Mode cable to work, but adds an extra level of security when leaving your car in unfamiliar places.
