Supports 4K RAW

The Atomos Shogun Inferno 7" 4K HDMI/12-SDI Monitor & Recorder is packed with the capability to record clean, uncompressed 4K RAW footage from your video camera , mirrorless or DSLR, enabling more precise colour grading and other enhancements during the editing process. The built-in processor supports 4K UHD and 4K DCI resolution at 60p, allowing you to preserve rich detail and smooth motion.

AtomHDR Engine

The AtomHDR processing engine is equipped with great capability to shoot HDR and display the decoded colours as they would look when rendered. This unique ability saves you from the guesswork of judging the exposure while looking at the washed appearance of HDR visuals and inspires more confidence and better accuracy when shooting out in the field.

4:2:2 ProRes & DNxHR

The ability to record the video from both HDMI and SDI cameras to 4:2:2 10-bit ProRes or DNxHR up to 4K 60p or HD 240p is considered a worthy function by most film makers. You can playback the ProRes or DNxHR files via the HDMI or SDI output at the same high frame rates for maximum accuracy when reviewing footage.

10 Bit FRC Panel

The 10bit FRC panel reproduces smooth colour gradation across the entire brightness range allowing you to accurately monitor your footage on its 18cm (7") display. The wider colour gamut and accuracy of the onboard monitor allows you to make on the spot decisions about colour and exposure to ensure reduced work in post-production.

Bright Touchscreen IPS Display

The Shogun Inferno is equipped with an IPS touchscreen display featuring 1500 cd/m² brightness that allows you to use the monitor even in harsh sunlight without a hood. Thanks to the high quality display and its 1920x1200 pixel resolution packed in just 18cm, the visuals look crisp and more natural from almost any angle.

Multiple Input/Output Options

Catering to a broad range of cameras, the Inferno offers you various connectivity options including 12G SDI, Quad 3G SDI and 4K HDMI to preview the RAW video footage while recording to the attached SSD (sold separately). Availability of both the BNC and HDMI connectors on the recording unit allow you to connect it to most of the professional cameras without compromising performance. The PQ input allows you to connect a non linear editing system to it as a monitor for colour grading the HDR in the post production setup.

Dual Battery Support

The dual battery support for Sony L series batteries allow you longer run times. Just as the first battery gets discharged, the hot-swap feature shifts to the second without interrupting the recording. Once discharged, the batteries can be recharged quickly with the supplied fast charger.

Useful for a broad range of filmmakers and videographers, the Atomos Shogun Inferno is sure to improve your production values and efficiency whilst minimising your time in post-production. The kit includes a custom HPRC hard case that allows you to store and protect it while shooting on-location.
