Monthly Photo Competition Terms & Conditions
Promoter: Digital Camera Warehouse (31 510 583 734) of 174 Canterbury Road, Canterbury NSW 2193.
1. Promotion Period The competition starts on the first day of each month and ends on the last day of the same month ("Promotion Period").
2. Eligibility
- Entrants must be Australian residents aged 18 or over.
3. How to Enter
- To enter, entrants must complete and submit an entry form, including their name, contact details, and any other information requested by the Promoter during the Promotion Period, in the format specified by the Promoter.
- Entrants must also include with their entry form a unique and original photo that is either featuring or inspired by the theme announced for that month.
4. Entry Conditions
- Entrants may submit entries for the monthly theme or any of the weekly subthemes related to the monthly theme.
(For example, if the monthly theme is "Colours of Nature," and the weekly subthemes are "Blues," "Greys," "Greens," and "Reds," participants can either submit photos related to each specific colour as highlighted each week, or they can submit photos related to the broader theme of "Colours of Nature" in general.)
- Participants are allowed to submit one entry per subtheme.
- Each entry can include up to three photos.
- Photos must be original, must not infringe third-party rights, and must not have been previously submitted in any other competition.
- Entrants guarantee their submissions do not violate intellectual property rights and agree to indemnify the Promoter against any claims arising from such infringement.
5. Judging
- The competition is a game of skill. Winners are selected based on creativity and adherence to the theme by a panel appointed by the Promoter. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. Prizes
- The specific prizes for each month will vary and details will be announced at the start of each competition period.
- Information about each month's prizes will be published on the photography competition page of the Digital Camera Warehouse website and promoted across the promoter’s social media platforms, as well as in the 'Friday Flash' EDM, which is published every Friday.
- All prizes are subject to availability and the promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
- Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
7. Winner Notification
- Winners will be notified by email and announced on the Promoter's social media on the first Friday following the end of the Promotion Period.
8. Unclaimed Prizes
- If any prize remains unclaimed by the stipulated time, the Promoter reserves the right to decide on an appropriate course of action. This may include selecting another entry from the existing submissions that meet the competition criteria or retaining the prize for future competitions. Each situation will be assessed on its merits, and the Promoter's decision will be final.
9. General
- The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
- If the competition is interfered with in any way or cannot be conducted as planned due to any reason beyond the Promoter's control, the Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend, terminate, or cancel the competition.
- By entering the competition, entrants consent to the Promoter using their submitted photos in marketing materials and on social media platforms.
10. Privacy
- The Promoter collects personal information to conduct the competition and may disclose such information to third parties for the competition execution and marketing purposes.
- Entrants consent to the storage of their personal information on the Promoter’s database and the Promoter may use this information for future competition and marketing purposes, unless otherwise advised by the entrant.
11. Liability
- The Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), or for personal injury suffered or sustained, as a result of participating in this competition or taking any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
