The Sigma MC-21 Lens Adapter is designed for Sigma lenses with an EF or SA mount. It allows those lenses to be attached to a L mount camera like the Panasonic Lumix S1 or the S1R, providing an even wider range of compatible lenses to shoot with.
Maintains Autofocus Performance
The MC-21 lens adapter enables fast and accurate autofocus performance with compatible sigma lenses when mounted on a L-mount camera body. For more details about compatibility, check the specifications tab.
Supports EXIF Data Communication
By transmitting EXIF data it is possible for details like the lens, aperture and focal length to be recorded directly to the EXIF data of the image created by the camera. This provides as easy way to load lens profile and colour corrections in lightroom and other editing programs.
Integrated LED Compatibility Indicator
A built-in LED indicates whether the mounted lens is compatible with the camera or not. A green light shows that it is, an orange indicates the lens requires a firmware update and when an attached lens is not compatible the LED does not light up at all.
Internal Reflection Reducing Flocking
By using black flocking that covers the inside surface of the lens barrel reflections that might reduce the optical performance of the lens have been dramatically reduced.
Built-in Tripod Socket
The Sigma Lens Adapter MC21 for Canon EF and Sigma SA mount lenses also has a built-in tripod socket at the base of the adapter that allows you to balance your lens and camera on a camera or tripod. This is especially useful for heavier lenses that do not include a tripod collar.
