The Sanyo Xacti VPC-CA8 is a waterproof digital video camera featuring Sanyo’s unique pistol grip styling for natural handheld shooting. The compact CA8 is fully waterproof to 1.5 metres for up to 60 minutes* making it the perfect lifestyle camera for shooting video or stills underwater, near the water or in the rain, skiing or snowboarding – virtually anywhere where you might be afraid to take a traditional camera for fear of getting it wet. RRP $699. NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

It features a 5x optical zoom lens and records video using MPEG4 AVC/H.264 compression at VGA 640 x 480 so you will have smaller file sizes, easy to upload to social networking sites or to portable devices, and your videos will still look great on a big-screen TV. The Sanyo Xacti VPC-CA8 also boasts digital image stabilization, 2mp still image capture whilst recording video, and high-sensitivity mode for recording in low-light. Combine with the floating strap (sold separately) for your ideal marine set-up.

Conforms to JIS Level 8* (equivalent to IPX8)
