The Pixel Oppilas Wireless Remote Kit allows you to fire your camera shutter from up to 100m away. The kit consists of 3 components – a trigger, a receiver and a 3 Pin shutter release cable. The receiver connects to your camera&'s hot shoe mount and is then plugged into to the camera via the shutter release cable. The trigger then acts as your shutter release button, allowing you to half press to obtain focus and full press to take the shot.
Apart from the standard single shot mode, the trigger also features a 1-secondcontinuous mode, a bulb mode and a self-timer mode. In 1-second continuous mode, simply hold down the button on the trigger and the camera will take a shot every second. Bulb mode is ideal for customised long exposures, allowing the camera's shutter to remain open longer than the standard 30 second maximum exposure. Simply press the button once to open the shutter. It will then remain open indefinitely until you press the button a second time to close the shutter. Lastly, self-timer mode adds an approximate 5 second delay after you've pressed the button before the shot is taken. This is great for group shots and self-portraits as it allows you sufficient time to hide the remote and pose for a natural looking shot. The trigger features a LED indicator which flashes red or green to provide a visual indicator on half press that focus is obtained and on full press to confirm a shot has been taken.
Powered by 2x AAA batteries in both the trigger and receiver, the Pixel Oppilas Wireless Remote Kit is a must for anyone serious about extended exposures and night photography.
